The house was fully renovated in 2025. A new roof was installed during the renovation. Even the foundation was replaced with a waterproof layer and thermal insulation. The towns of Hévíz and Keszthely are just around the corner. Both are well-known for Lake Balaton and its thermal baths. Hévíz, only 14 km away, is known for its famous spa resort, which is popular with spa guests both summer and winter. It is also a popular destination for people with rheumatic complaints. There’s plenty to do in Hévíz, both summer and winter.

Keszthely is often considered the “capital” or cultural centre of Lake Balaton. Keszthely is a large town and offers a good selection of restaurants, museums, sports facilities, and more. A visit to the castle is highly recommended. Keszthely also offers extensive shopping opportunities. You’ll find not only the shops in the town centre and the market, but also all the major chain stores.

Zalaapáti is located next to Kehidakustány (12 km), which is known for its beautiful swimming paradise.
