Utilities such as water, electricity, and gas are available. For drainage there is a connection to the sewerage system. Balatonszentgyörgy has excellent infrastructure with several shops and restaurants, a kindergarten, a school, a doctor’s office, a pharmacy, and a gas station in the village. The village is easily accessible by road (the M7 motorway is approximately 3 km away), bus, and train.

Keszthely, the capital of Lake Balaton, is 15 km away. This is the commercial and cultural centre of the region, with numerous tourist attractions such as the castle, various museums, and of course, the charming town centre where you can enjoy shopping or visit the market. Keszthely also has all the major retail chains.

A little further, Hévíz (20 km from Balatonszentgyörgy) boasts Europe’s largest natural thermal lake. Suitable for bathing year-round, Hévíz also boasts a comprehensive medical centre. Besides Hévíz, there are two other thermal baths nearby (Zalakaros and Marcali).
